A special security operation under the codename “Operation Crush” was started by the governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, on Tuesday in response to the state’s security issues.
Otti stated that “Operation Crush” is a joint task force made up of numerous security units when speaking at the beginning of the security operation in Umuahia.
The governor remembers making the promise during the campaign that Abia will have zero tolerance for crime, adding that “today marks the realization of that commitment.”
“Our first priority is to respond to threats quickly, focusing on regions like Umunneochi and Isuikwuato LGAs, as well as Umuahia, Aba, and Ohafia.
“Abia State will no longer be a refuge for criminals and their allies.
“I kindly request that our folks provide our operation with useful intelligence. Market and community leaders, as well as landlords, must not harbor criminals.
“Our administration is devoted to giving the young people of Abia legitimate possibilities.
“We are working with the federal government to make sure that the health of our security personnel is a top priority.
We are here for everybody who wants Abia to advance, Otti stated.
