…Chelsea defender remains undecided between England and Nigeria
…27-year-old pledges careful thought before final commitment
Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo says he is in no hurry to decide which country he will represent at senior international level.
The 27-year-old defender, who was born in London to Nigerian parents, is eligible to play for both England and Nigeria but has yet to feature for either nation’s senior team.
In a recent interview with Arise TV, Adarabioyo confirmed he is still considering his options.
“It’s something I think about seriously,” he said. “But hopefully, in the nearest future I’ll make a decision.”
Adarabioyo has previously represented England at youth level, featuring for the U-16 and U-19 teams. Despite being highly rated in the Premier League, he remains uncapped at senior level.
His calm and composed performances for Chelsea since joining from Fulham on a free transfer have renewed interest from both the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) and the English FA.
For now, the defender is focused on his club career and maintaining top form as he weighs his next big step in international football.
