Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has stated that his administration is prepared to create an environment that will support the growth of the creative sector.
During the Afrotrad Festival in Osogbo, Adeleke announced his government’s plans to use the creative industry to boost Osun’s economy.
Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke’s spokesperson, said this in a statement.
Adeleke pledged to look into everything that would advance the business and bring advantages to young people, citing the creative sector as one of the largest employers in the world.
According to him, Nigeria’s creative industry has grown to be a significant economic pillar. It is even crucial to point out that our music and film industries’ current dominance across the globe has strengthened that dominance, he said.
“Let me reassure you that Osun State’s creative industry will flourish thanks to innovative efforts that will boost its growth and output.
“To enhance our internally generated revenue, the PDP government in Osun State will take advantage of the intimate connection between the creative industry and the tourism sector.
I’d want to take this occasion to let the young people and their parents know that our government will put all the necessary measures in place to support the growth of our young people.
Leading actors from the local and national entertainment industries were present.
