Babatunji Wusu –
Caroline Wuraola Adepoju has been officially appointed as the Nigerian Immigration Service’s substantive Comptroller General (CG) by President Bola Tinubu (NIS).
She informed the immigration service employees of this on Wednesday in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, during the Comptroller General’s procession.
The date of the decoration will soon be confirmed, according to Adepoju, who was named interim CG on May 29 after Isah Jere’s term ended.
She was cited as saying in a statement released by the Public Relations Unit of the Service, “You may also wish to know that through the grace of God and by the benevolence of the present government, I have been confirmed as a substantive Comptroller General of Immigration.”
In addition, the new CG stated that a few members of the top management team who appeared in a promotion exam have been promoted to the position of Deputy Comptrollers General and that their decoration date will be disclosed shortly.
Adepoju also urged officers to observe a moment of silence in remembrance of the service personnel who lost their lives while performing their duties a few weeks ago, and to pray for the Almighty God to grant them eternal rest.
She also expressed her gratitude to all of the men and officers for their support of the NIS leadership. She extended her gratitude, in particular, to the senior leadership group, Zonal Coordinators, State Comptrollers, and Passport Officers, both domestically and abroad.
