The Ministry of Petroleum Resources now has Ambassador Gabriel Aduda as a permanent secretary.
According to a statement made on Wednesday by Mrs. Enefaa Bob-Manuel, the ministry’s director of information, Aduda’s deployment was detailed in a Head of Service circular with the reference number HCSF/248/III/163 and was dated October 4, 2022.
Aduda advised the attendees of the welcome ceremony hosted by the Ministry’s Directors to set aside their personal differences and viewpoints and work together to advance the ministry and the country.
The ministry’s mandate in the oil and gas industry was stated to be successful, and the permanent secretary indicated his willingness to work diligently to make sure of this.
According to him, the Ministry would need to develop modalities for the reforms that would constitute the new oil and gas sector policy to help its implementation now that the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) was in place.
In order to develop a top-tier oil and gas business, Aduda urged the evolution of efficient means and methods of interacting with the many Agencies in the sector.
The permanent secretary expressed gratitude to his forebears for the fantastic work they had begun.
He thanked the directors for their cordial welcome and promised to maintain an open door policy to let them interact with him freely.
In his remarks, the Director of the Upstream Department, Mr. Busari Kamoru, gave the permanent secretary the assurance of the full support of the other directors to help him fulfill his task.
