Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has backed Ademola Lookman, Paul Onuachu and Akor Adams to deliver crucial goals and assists as Nigeria enter the knockout phase of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Nigeria booked a Round of 16 clash against Mozambique on Monday after finishing top of Group C with a flawless nine points. The Eagles sealed their group dominance with a convincing 3–1 win over Uganda on Tuesday.

Speaking after the victory, Osimhen played down personal scoring targets, insisting his focus remains on collective success. The Napoli forward stressed that Nigeria’s attacking depth gives the team multiple match-winners capable of stepping up when it matters most.

“I’m not promising anyone that I’ll score more goals in the Round of 16,” Osimhen told reporters. “What I can assure is good performance, fighting for my team and making sure the Super Eagles win.

“We have Paul, Akor and Ade who can deliver for us in terms of scoring goals and providing assists,” he added.

With momentum firmly on their side and several attacking options in form, the Super Eagles will look to maintain their winning run when they face Mozambique in the knockout stage.
