Al-Ittihad have officially terminated N’Golo Kanté’s contract, clearing the way for the French midfielder to complete a move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
The Saudi Pro League club confirmed the decision in a brief statement on social media, announcing that it had agreed to sell the remaining period of Kanté’s contract. The announcement ends days of uncertainty surrounding the former Chelsea star’s future.
Kanté is now set to join Fenerbahce after FIFA granted approval for the transfer, following an earlier administrative error that temporarily stalled the deal. With the green light secured, the midfielder is expected to put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at the Istanbul-based club until 2028.
The move brings Kanté’s short spell at Al-Ittihad to a close and marks a new chapter in his career, as Fenerbahce strengthen their squad with the vastly experienced World Cup winner.
