Renowned Nollywood actor Emmanuel France has died, leaving the Nigerian film industry and fans in deep mourning.
The news of his passing was shared by Nigerian filmmaker Olufemi Ogedengbe via his Instagram page on Monday.
Ogedengbe, in his tribute, described France as a legend and recalled their time working together on three movie projects in Tanzania in 2006.
The films included Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, and The Director. While the cause of France’s death remains unknown, Ogedengbe’s message reflected the fond memories they shared.
He wrote, “Rest in peace to one of Nollywood legends. Uncle Emmanuel France, One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. Shot three movies with him: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister, & The Director. R.I.P.”
Recall that Shina Sanyaolu, a renowned producer and director in the Yoruba film sector, who was known for his huge contributions to the industry died on the 12th September.
