All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure a convincing victory in the 2027 presidential election, saying the party already has about 12 million votes from its registered members across the country.

Speaking on Friday in Abuja during the submission of the nomination forms of President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as the APC’s candidates for the election, Yilwatda said the strong support shown during the party’s presidential primary reflects what the party expects at the polls. He said the 2027 presidential election campaign would build on that momentum.

According to the APC chairman, millions of Nigerians benefiting from the administration’s programmes and development projects will further strengthen the President’s chances of re-election.

“Today is a reflection of the wishes of over 12 million members of the APC who overwhelmingly voted Mr President as the party’s candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

“We already have 12 million votes in the kitty for Mr President,” he said.

Yilwatda urged APC governors, party leaders and supporters to return to their respective states and highlight what he described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration. He said the party should focus its campaign on policies, projects and results that have affected the lives of Nigerians.

“What we need is to focus on the success stories of Mr President and what he has done across the country. Nigerians have seen the difference between policies that touch the people and governance that impacts lives,” he said.

The APC chairman described President Tinubu as the party’s strongest candidate and expressed confidence that the APC would record major victories nationwide in the 2027 presidential election.

“We are not afraid and we are not in doubt of our success. There is no shaking at all. Come 2027, our victory as a party is assured,” he stated.

Do you think the APC’s confidence will translate into success at the 2027 polls?
