The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering effective leadership, assuring Bola Tinubu, party leaders, and members that he will not fail in his responsibilities.
Yilwatda made the pledge during his acceptance speech after his re-election and swearing-in at the APC National Convention held in Abuja late Friday night.
Emerging through a consensus arrangement alongside other members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), the APC chairman expressed confidence in the party’s unity and future electoral success.
“I give you clear and bold assurances that we will not falter. I will not fail you. Together, we will step forward to be counted when it matters most,” he declared.
He urged party members and supporters across the country to remain united and steadfast, stressing that cohesion within the party would guarantee sustained progress and victory.
“We stand stronger together as a political party. With unity, progress will be steady and enduring, and our victories are assured,” he added.
Yilwatda also extended appreciation to President Tinubu and other party leaders for the confidence reposed in him, acknowledging the weight of responsibility that comes with his office.
“Today, every officer elected at this convention is grateful. I fully accept this mandate with a clear understanding of history, the expectations of our people, and the urgency of this moment,” he said.
He further noted that the burden of leadership now rests on his shoulders and those of other party officials, pledging to carry out the responsibility with dedication and gratitude on behalf of millions of party members nationwide.
