Arsenal and Sporting CP have reportedly reached a comprehensive verbal agreement for the transfer of striker Viktor Gyokeres. The deal includes an initial €63.5 million fee plus €10 million in add-ons, with the player’s agent agreeing to lower commission fees.

The 27-year-old Sweden international has emerged as the ideal striker Arsenal has sought over the past two seasons. Despite interest from other clubs, Gyokeres was determined to join the Gunners, underscoring his commitment to the move.

Arsenal struggled without a recognized No. 9 throughout the 2024–25 season due to injuries to key forwards Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
