…Meeting to draw roadmap for 2025/26 season
…Clubs to arrive a day earlier for crucial deliberations
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has fixed Monday, 28 July 2025, for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) — a crucial gathering to map out plans and logistics for the 2025/26 season.
The AGM will take place at the Abuja Continental Hotel, formerly known as Sheraton Hotels. This comes after an earlier announcement in July which left the specific date and venue open.
According to an official letter signed by NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi, invitations have been dispatched to all 20 participating clubs. The letter confirmed the new date and outlined expectations ahead of the new season.
All club representatives are expected to arrive in Abuja on Sunday, 27 July, ahead of the Monday meeting.
The AGM serves as a strategic forum where league operations, fixture schedules, club licensing, commercial plans, and new season regulations are expected to be finalised.
Meanwhile, the 2025/26 NPFL season will kick off on Friday, 22 August.
