A deadly collision in Nibo, Awka South Anambra State, claimed the lives of two people while injuring four others to varied degrees.
An unregistered tricycle and a Mercedes Benz ML 350 Jeep with the registration number AE 712 ABM were both involved in the collision, which happened on Tuesday about 3:30 pm along Oye-Nibo route.
Too many traffic accidents these days, a local said. On Monday, April 17, 2023, I was told that it occurred in Nibo.
“I don’t have the specifics, but I heard that a Keke carrying five passengers and traveling in the direction of Amawbia was struck by a Mini Jeep.
I heard that all six occupants of the Keke perished, and that the man operating the Jeep and a woman carrying a child also perished as the Jeep collided with the Keke before crashing into the gutter.
However, Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson, claimed in a statement that there were just two fatalities in the accident and that an inquiry into it had already begun.
According to him, “Anambra Police Operatives have retrieved a Mercedes Benz ML 350 Jeep with registration number AE 712 ABM and an unmarked tricycle involved in a deadly accident that happened along Oye-Nibo route, Awka South, on April 17, 2023, at 3:30 pm.
“The operators responding to the distress call discovered two dead unidentified male bodies on the road, and four other people who had suffered significant injuries were taken to the hospital for treatment. The morgue received the two bodies once they were retrieved.
