Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, has returned to Nigeria after attending an economic stakeholders’ meeting in the United Kingdom, where he met with some key government officials.
Atiku met with Andrew Mitchell, the UK Minister for Development and Africa in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, as well as other senior officials.
He also met with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Revd Justin Welby, behind closed doors in the United Kingdom.
Among those accompanying him on the trip are Governors Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, former Kogi Senator Dino Melaye, former National PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, former Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and his aides.
Reno Omori, a former presidential aide, posted a video of Atiku’s arrival on his verified Twitter page on Friday morning.
“The next president of Nigeria (God willing) is back in Nigeria after a most successful trip to the UK,” Omokri tweeted.
Remember that Atiku had stated that he was in the United Kingdom to discuss potential areas of future collaboration between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
