Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is prepared to halt the All Progressives Congress (APC) from further damaging Nigeria’s future.
Atiku delivered the message on Tuesday when he met with ADC chairmen from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at his Abuja residence. He later shared details of the meeting in a post on his X handle.
The delegation, led by Kogi State ADC Chairman, Ogga Kingsley, visited Atiku to formally welcome him to the party following his recent registration. Addressing the chairmen, Atiku stressed that the coalition had no time to waste in what he described as a renewed push to rescue Nigeria.
He urged party leaders across the country to complete their registration and fully align with the coalition’s mission, warning that nobody could afford to “sit on the fence” at a time of national urgency.
Atiku praised the ADC leadership for what he called their clear commitment to the nation’s future, noting that they all shared a common goal of building a secure and prosperous Nigeria.
“I am pleased to see that leaders of the party are thinking with the future of our country in mind. Together, we are committed to working towards a secure, united, and prosperous Nigeria. The APC is bent on wrecking our country, and we are ready to stop them,” he wrote.
