Charles Anyanwu, a candidate for the House of Assembly from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State’s Etche Constituency, was attacked at his home.
When the arsonists assaulted Anyanwu’s home in Port Harcourt, he reportedly had a narrow escape from death.
According to sources, the arsonists broke into Anyanwu’s home and set fire to it using an improvised explosive that was probably dynamite.
The incident did not result in any fatalities, though.
The matter is being investigated, according to SP Grace Iringe Koko, the Rivers State Police Command’s public relations officer.
Remember how Anyanwu reportedly escaped a recent attack when unidentified gunmen opened fire on his convoy when he was attending a campaign event in Etche, his local government region.
