The movement of sensitive voting materials from the Central Bank of Nigeria to the 21 local government area offices in Adamawa State was started by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday.

Representatives of recognized political parties were present to see the items being delivered through their agents.

The INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Yunusa Hudu Ari, promised sufficient protection for tomorrow’s presidential elections while distributing sensitive materials (Saturday).

Ballots, result sheets, and the Bimodal Voter Accreditation Systems are a few examples of the sensitive items that were released for transmission to the LGAs.

We talked with the security agencies, who assured us that the elections would be conducted in a timely manner. At least two police officers would be posted at each voting place, according to the police commissioner. According to the electoral guidelines, they will observe the polls remotely.

“Remember that soldiers are also deployed, particularly in Michika and Madagali, as well as in some areas of Fufore.

“For ease of delivery to the polling places on Saturday, the BVAS will be relocated to the local government headquarters on Friday and then to the registration sites.”

Because of the assurances the commission has received from security agencies about their readiness for an orderly and peaceful outcome at the polls, Ari said he anticipates the elections to go off without a hitch.

The BVAS for the elections would be brought to the INEC local government headquarters before being sent to the registration areas and subsequently to each polling unit, according to the Adamawa INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner.

The police and other security agencies collaborated to hold a routine operational procedure to demonstrate the force’s increased combat readiness ahead of tomorrow’s elections as a sign of its readiness.

In a press statement, Suleiman Nguroje, Police Public Relations, Adamawa State Police Command, stated that all operational resources would be deployed to create an environment that would be enabling and favorable for the successful conduct of free and fair elections.
