Fatima Abubakar, a 25-year-old housewife, was detained by police officers in Borno State for reportedly punching her husband Goni Abbah.
The suspect was detained on October 19 by members of the Command at Anguwan Doki, according to a statement issued by the state’s commissioner of police, Mr. Abdu Umar.
According to Umar, the victim, who was the neighborhood’s chief imam, was returning from the mosque when the second wife, the suspect, allegedly mixed poison with his food. The CP stated that Goni’s condition deteriorated as soon as he began eating.
