Bendel Insurance defender, Efe Enabulele, has urged his teammates to quickly move past their narrow defeat to Shooting Stars and concentrate on their next Nigeria Premier Football League fixture against Barau FC.
The Benin Arsenals saw their impressive nine-game unbeaten streak come to an end on Sunday following a 1–0 loss to Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasinga, Ibadan. The tightly contested encounter denied Insurance the maximum points they had targeted on the road.
Reacting to the setback, Enabulele admitted the result fell short of the team’s expectations but stressed that attention has now shifted to the upcoming home fixture.
“The defeat in Ibadan wasn’t the result we planned for, as we went there aiming to secure all three points,” Enabulele told 54footballx. “We will return to training and prepare fully for our game against Barau FC in Benin City.”
Bendel Insurance will welcome Barau FC this weekend, with the Benin-based side looking to bounce back swiftly and return to winning ways in front of their supporters.
