I’m at the entrance to the private terminal at Madrid Airport and this will be the final vision and the final memory of Madrid when he comes through these gates and gets on his private jet. This has been his home for seven years, and he’s made some great memories on the way even if his relationship has soured over the past couple of years with the media and with the fans.

“He’s had his medical in Madrid and we understand that the deal is practically finalized. We’re not expecting any sort of dramas but we’re expecting him and Sergio Reguilon to pass through in a blacked-out people carrier into this terminal.”
