A crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has left ten people dead and numerous others seriously hurt.
Tuesday morning, at the Kara turning onto the Interchange part of the expressway, there was a collision.
In a conversation with The Punch, Florence Okpe, a spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps’ Ogun Sector Command, verified the occurrence.
But as of the time of publication, details of the crash are still hazy.
On Sunday, a bizarre accident along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway claimed the lives of sixteen people and injured twenty-seven others.
According to Kabir Nadabo, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the accident happened on Sunday at 5:20 a.m. near Audu Jhangon village along the expressway.
According to Nadabo, the accident occurred when a trailer with the license plate KUJ 430XC—which was transporting heavy cargo—lost control and plummeted into a ditch.
The FRSC official also revealed that he went to the spot to gather first-hand information on the occurrence after learning of the disaster.
