President Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to support Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming presidential election.

The former governor of Lagos State, according to the president, is passionate about his country and can be relied upon to guide it to its promised land.

On Saturday in Lafia, Buhari addressed at the APC’s presidential rally.

He added that Tinubu and he had weathered the nation’s political storm as allies for more than 20 years, and that the APC’s presidential candidate is dedicated to the advancement and development of the nation.

While urging Nigerians to support all the APC candidates in the general elections, he stated, “God willing, Tinubu would be the next president of the nation.

“I commend you all and thank you for defying the weather and remaining standing for more than three hours for this rally,” he added. I can guarantee you that if God wills, we will triumph completely.

“I know Ahmed Bola Tinubu, as he claimed in his address more over 20 years ago, and from 2003 to 2011, I visited every local government area in Nigeria. In 2019, when I was requesting this second term and the final term, I visited every state.

“I’ll keep running my Bola Ahmed Tinubu campaign. He is a dedicated Nigerian, and I have faith that he would give everything he has to this nation and to all of you Nigerians.

The APC’s presidential candidate also spoke at the event, praising President Buhari for being a “forthright and compassionate” leader.

He claimed that certain unhappy politicians are determined to turn Buhari against him in an effort to damage the APC and his bid for the presidency.

But let me remind them that they are wasting their time because Mr. President and I have had a friendly connection for more than 20 years.

“Those who believe there are gaps in our friendship and connection will continue to feel let down, and their fleeting joy will be constrained.

He said, “Ours is about country development, honesty, integrity, and character. It is not about the person.”

He asserted that President Buhari has disproved the notion that a military general of his caliber cannot oversee a democratic process and shown himself to be a true democrat in the mold of Abraham Lincoln.

He claimed that only a dedicated and unwavering leader like Buhari could bravely face the numerous obstacles he tolerated.

He pointed out that Buhari could continue to lead the country despite declining oil revenues, increased insecurity, and troubling efforts of those determined to derail it.

If given the chance to lead Nigeria, he vowed to the president that he would fulfill his expectations as well as those of Nigerians.
