Niger Tornadoes midfielder Ani Chigozie says he is fully focused on helping the Ikon Allah Boys secure a strong result as they face Rangers in their Matchday 14 clash on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Chigozie, who launched his football career in Enugu, said returning to his hometown energises him ahead of the high-stakes fixture.
He expressed his excitement, noting that playing against Rangers—one of Nigeria’s most successful clubs—always brings a special feeling.
“I feel so happy touching down in my hometown and playing against Rangers. It’s a great feeling always playing against one of the most successful clubs in Nigeria,” he said. “Nothing changed. We’ll just go on the field and do what we know how to do best.”
The Tornadoes head into the encounter with confidence, having defeated Rangers 2–1 in their meeting last season.
