Chimamanda Adichie, a well-known author, has received a chieftaincy title from her village.
Adichie, who is from the Anambra State town of Abba, was given the honorary title of “Odeluwa Abba” on Friday.
Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, and other dignitaries attended the occasion.
“Award-winning novelist, Chimamanda Adichie, was on Friday honored by her native abba homeland, Njikoka LGA, Anambra State, with the chieftaincy title of odelwa,” wrote Facebook user Uche Nworah in a post that included images from the occasion (she who writes for the world).
