Former President Olusegun Obasanjo celebrated his wife Bola Obasanjo’s 70th birthday on Wednesday, and guests in attendance included the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Foluke Adeboye.
At the Chapel of Christ, the Glorious King Parish of the RCCG in Abeokuta, Ogun State, yesterday, notable people from all across the nation came to commemorate Mrs. Obasanjo’s 70th birthday.
It was learned that the Thanksgiving service on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, was planned by Pastor Adeboye and his spouse.
Obasanjo gave a speech during the function in which he thanked God for his wife’s significant birthday. He underlined that she deserved to be encircled by supporters who were all expressing gratitude to God for enabling her to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee.
Throughout the two-hour ceremony, Mrs. Obasanjo emanated enthusiasm and excitement and read the second Bible lesson, which was taken from Psalm 103, which is titled “Let all that I have praise the Lord.” The former president’s wife openly expressed her gratitude to her husband, Obasanjo, for the support and fulfillment she has received.
The audience erupted in resounding ovation at her expression, which some referred to as one of the celebrant’s obvious treats: humility and respect.
Obasanjo recited a passage from Psalm 95, saying, “Come, let us sing to the Lord.” He pointed out that the phrase “Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation” implied that the celebrant should be happy.
Mrs. Obasanjo is a proud daughter of Remoland, “who without doubt is a good wife, good companion and friend, and she is a good Christian,” according to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, who spoke at the event.
The governor’s spouse, Bamidele Abiodun, attended the function as well.

Among the clergy in attendance are Rev. Adekunle of the Anglican Church, Tunde Akinsanya, Mama Esther Ajayi, Ebenezer Obey, Pastor Adeboye and his wife, Foluke Adeboye, Ogun State Christian Association of Nigeria, and other men of God from throughout the state.
Deputy Governors Salmatu Badru (Ogun), Erelu Obada (Osun), Chairman of O’dua Investment Company, Otunba Abimbola Ashiru, Joju Fadairo, Chinese Consul General in Nigeria, Odera Ozoka, Tonye Cole, Okoli (Mama EMZOR), and Secretary General of the Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Dr. Okay Emuchay were also present at the event. The wife of the former governor, Funso Amosun, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, was also present.
