DEC. 30 IS WHEN SPEAKER ABBAS SAYS THE 2024 BUDGET WILL BE PASSED.

The 2024 budget will be approved on Saturday, December 30, 2023, according to Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.

On Tuesday, during the House’s plenary session, he stated this.

The speaker also conveyed to the House’s committees a message from the Committee on Appropriations stating that they had until 8 p.m. today, December 19, 2023, to complete and turn in their reports on the budget defense.

Other budget-related tasks, such as processing and compilation, will happen in between, according to the speaker.
