Tarnum Dooshima has clinched the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for Bayelsa Queens after an impressive run in the 2024–25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season.

Dooshima, who netted four crucial goals, played a pivotal role in helping the Prosperity Girls secure the league title. She was honoured during a celebratory dinner hosted in Yenagoa to recognise the team’s outstanding performance.

The evening also saw striker Alaba Olabiyi, the club’s top scorer with six goals, named Best Striker. Defenders and goalkeepers were not left out, as Jennifer Oliver earned the Best Defender award, while Monle Omini was crowned Best Goalkeeper.

With the NWFL title wrapped up, Bayelsa Queens now turn their attention to continental duties as they prepare for the CAF Women’s Champions League.
