Popular Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has dismissed claims that she lied against the founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, insisting that all her allegations are true.

The actress reacted after the cleric, during a Sunday church service, publicly apologised to her and others he admitted offending, but maintained that some of the allegations levelled against him were false.

Ogala had earlier accused Okafor of breaching a promise to marry her, a claim that triggered widespread public debate and further allegations against the preacher. Through her legal representatives, Synergy Law Partners, the actress also issued a formal demand dated December 16, 2025, seeking N1 billion in compensation from the cleric.

The controversy deepened earlier in the week when Okafor’s children reportedly made additional allegations, further intensifying scrutiny around the pastor.

Addressing his congregation on Sunday, Okafor apologised and expressed willingness to make amends. He acknowledged wrongdoing but questioned the accuracy of some of the claims made against him.

“To the lady called Doris Ogala, mistakes have been made in the past and I tender apologies to everybody. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said; however, I am saying sorry to everyone I have offended,” the pastor said.
He added, “To Doris Ogala, I am so sorry and I apologise. I am ready to make restitution to anyone that I have offended.”

However, Ogala swiftly pushed back against the assertion that her claims were untrue. In a post shared on her Facebook page, the actress said she accepted the apology but strongly objected to being labelled a liar.

“Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there is a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she wrote.

The dispute, which has drawn significant public attention, remains unresolved as both parties maintain opposing positions on the core allegations.
