DRIVER RUNS AWAY AS A CONTAINER KILLS A CART PUSHER IN LAGOS.

Unknown cart pusher was killed when a container truck carrying concrete stones fell on him at Goye by UBA in the Dopemu neighborhood of Lagos.

The deadly accident happened on Sunday, May 28, 2023, according to employees of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), who made this disclosure in a statement.

The man passed away instantly, according to a LASTMA official, Badmus Abdul-Akeem of Zone 32, Dopemu Akowonjo, who oversaw the rescue effort.

According to a preliminary inquiry, the container’s driver was completely disoriented while driving at high speed beside another trailer before he fell off the road and completely blocked the BRT path leading into Dopemu.

He confirmed that LASTMA officers found a photocopy of the truck driver’s driver’s license at the scene of the collision while the driver of the downed vehicle fled.
