At the Presidential Villa in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu met with Abdulrasheed Bawa, chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Even if the meeting’s precise agenda is yet unknown, recent events might have had an impact.

The Department of State Services (DSS) personnel barricaded the EFCC office in Lagos just 24 hours prior.

One of the issues President Tinubu and Bawa discussed during their conversation was the incident at the EFCC offices in Lagos.

In response to the altercation, Tinubu had noticeably given the DSS immediate instructions to remove its staff and vehicles from the EFCC premises.

He emphasized that any conflicts between the two organizations must be resolved amicably.

President Tinubu ordered the Department of State Services to leave the EFCC office in Ikoyi, Lagos, after learning about the DSS employees’ conduct, according to a statement by the White House spokesperson Tunde Rahman.

The president is focused on finding a peaceful solution to any disputes between these important government entities.
