ELTON JOHN, A BRITISH ARTIST, LEAVES TWITTER AS ELON MUSK RESPONDS

Elon Musk, the CEO of the microblogging service, has asked British artist Elton John for input following the latter’s deactivation of his Twitter account.
Elton had expressed concern that false information was spreading like wildfire on Twitter, saying this went against his commitment to racial harmony.

“All my life, I’ve tried to use music to unite people,” Elton stated. I am nevertheless saddened to see how false information is currently being utilized to polarize our world.

“Given Twitter’s recent policy change, which will allow disinformation to flourish unchecked, I’ve chosen to stop using Twitter,” she said.

Elon Musk, who declared to have appreciated the singer’s music, asked specifically for the false information he was alluding to after seeing his post.
