Chris Hemsworth reveals the stunts in his upcoming Netflix film.

While promoting his new film Extraction 2, the 39-year-old actor teased that the action scenes in the film are “larger, badder, more deadly, and more risky,” and revealed that the stunts in this film are far more intense than those in Marvel films.

Chris told Entertainment Weekly that they “kind of went for the moon” with Extraction 2’s action-packed exploits.

“I think we created something extremely distinctive in a very busy realm of action,” Chris stated.

“Not to detract from the special-effects-heavy type of Marvel movies, but you have a lot of aid in post-production,” Chris explained. “Obviously, I can’t fly, so they assist me with that. In this film, the action is grounded in fact, and most of it is captured on camera. So it’s a different atmosphere, and the preparation is much more thorough.”

Later in the conversation, Chris hinted at a major action scene in the film in which a helicopter descends on a moving train.

“Probably the most stressful part was the absolute anxiety of all the things that could have gone wrong, but thankfully didn’t,” Chris added.

According to Chris and director Sam Hargrave, the scene took months of choreography, rehearsal, and extensive safety training.

Sam then talked about the “adrenaline rush” he felt while filming that sequence.

“I’ll never forget standing beneath that chopper,” Sam reflected. “At the time, I was our camera operator, therefore I was filming. I could have reached out my hand and high-fived our pilot. It was incredible.”

Extraction 2 is scheduled to be published on Netflix in 2023.

Chris just revealed that he will be taking some time off work due to a health discovery.
