The Minister of works and housing, and the former governor of Lagos state, Babatunde  Raji Fashola has expressed his support for the ban of commercial motorcycles (Okada) and Tricycles (Keke NAPEP)  in Lagos state.

Speaking at the United Action for Change public lecture in Lagos on Thursday, Fashola said motorcycles cannot be a preferred choice of taxiing in Lagos, the Centre of Excellence.

The Minister said Okada is never a part of the state plan, and that security concerns fuelled by criminals using motorcycles to deliver harsh drugs to children, attack banks and other facilities.
