According to Mr. Uloka Chukwubuikem, the deputy director of media and publicity for the Atiku-Okowa presidential campaign council in Anambra State, the large crowd at the People’s Democratic Party presidential rally’s flagging-off in Awka, Anambra State, on Thursday confirmed the public’s support for the PDP.

Chukwubuikem emphasized that the PDP in Anambra State was committed to supporting Atiku-Okowa in the presidential elections in February 2023.

The flag-off of the South-East campaign rally in the state was assessed to be a successful outing and had also set a precedent for other South-East states to compete with, he said in a statement on Friday.

Uloka claims that up to this point, many people did not think Atiku could draw such a sizable crowd as that which attended the gathering.

He said that the people of Anambra have come to understand that Atiku is the only presidential contender who can contest with him for the presidency.

He stated, “Such was the size of the throng at the rally, Atiku openly praised the Anambra people for their grassroots support for the PDP and his campaign.

“The turnout demonstrated that Atiku Abubakar lives in Anambra State in addition to being our in-law. There was no greater way to honor him on Thursday than by having so many Anambra people there.

“Based on the recent developments, it is evident that the state’s residents who previously questioned the party’s hold on the region are now in a panic.

“Ndi Anambra’s large turnout on December 15 was a resounding demonstration that the state’s residents, in spite of everything, still have faith in the PDP and are prepared to deliver.

“The people of Anambra have come to realize that there is no other presidential candidate who can challenge Atiku Abubakar for the presidency.”

Any vote in favor of the All Progressives Congress, which has been destroying Nigeria for more than seven years, Chukwubuikem claimed, is a vote against Atiku and the PDP.

He claims that the APC leadership has abused and exploited young people in Nigeria, and that these actions have led to insecurity and other issues that endanger the country’s existence and unity. He also claims that because of their animosity toward the South East and their shared religious platform, the APC’s ticket will never be an option for discerning Nigerians.
