If elected president of Nigeria in 2023, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has pledged to eradicate poverty .

At the South-South Town Hall gathering on Tuesday in Calabar, Tinubu made a pledge that he would use all of the material and human resources that God had given the nation to lift it out of poverty.

The presidential candidate claimed that each state of the federation was blessed with an abundance of natural resources, all of which would be utilized in altering the fate of the country. He also noted that education remained the most effective tool to combat poverty.

He did, however, emphasize that in order to do that, people must remain unified and refrain from destroying what God had placed in the nation in order to increase its glory.

“I am just running because I want to help move Nigeria forward; no one else is running with me.

“Those who claim to be running have not the slightest shred of integrity; they are unable to fulfill their word; all they care about is making fun of me while lacking any supporting evidence.

He declared, “I am a wrestler, but I don’t wrestle with just anyone; my main interest is to advance Nigeria.

The former governor of Lagos bemoaned the nation’s sluggish growth and development, saying his administration will reverse the situation.

In order to assure sustained growth and prosperity, he pledged to bring Nigerians together.

“Moving Nigeria ahead is a necessary effort; it can only be accomplished by working together. Anger, division, and breaking apart will not help.

Instead of letting hunger overpower us, let’s fight it. In order to create enormous wealth for the country and our people, let’s band together, he remarked.

According to the presidential candidate, Cross River has the potential to become Africa’s tourism capital.

In his earlier remarks, Governor Ben Ayade emphasized the necessity for the nation to return to agriculture if the goal of eradicating hunger was to be accomplished.

Ayade voiced her sadness that despite Nigeria’s enormous landmass, she believed the country had not yet reached its full potential, notably in the field of agriculture.

“It is unfortunate that we don’t have the industry to add value to the produce, and instead use our enormous cocoa reserves to import poverty.

“The same goes for our big bitumen resource, as we import bitumen for use in constructing roads.

“For this reason, I contend that Tinubu has been called by God to intervene and alter Nigeria’s history.

“When he conquered the Atlantic Ocean, he did it in Lagos. If elected president, he will likely continue the tremendous work he started in the state and across Nigeria, according to the governor.
