The Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, OHCSF, has received N394.699 million from the Federal Government (FG) for the purchase of official and monitoring vehicles, the establishment and management of an employee wellness center, and the purchase of office supplies.

In particular, the ongoing project of purchasing official and monitoring vehicles for the commission will cost N250 million; the establishment and management of employee wellness centers, also known as gym centers, will cost over N28,250,000; and the new project of purchasing office equipment will cost over N167,074,371 and include the purchase of 100 2HP air conditioners.

The figure is part of the federal government’s executive proposal in the 2023 Appropriation Bill, which also includes more than N12.698 billion for the parent OHCSF.

The OHCSF receives N8.39 billion, with no retained independent revenue and a capital of N1.95 million; the Federal Government Staff Housing Loans Board receives N392.56 million, with no retained independent revenue and a capital of N1.95 million.

The Administrative Staff College of Nigeria receives N1.69 million in revenue, with N675 million in retained independent revenue and N107.22 million in capital, while its overhead consumes N105.77 million.

The Bureau of Public Service Reforms receives N449.20 million with no independent revenue generation and a total capital of N105.71 million, whereas the Public Service Institute of Nigeria receives more than N1 million with a capital of N382.81 million and no internally generated revenue.

OHCSF is in charge of the leadership, management, and capacity development of the Federal Civil Service, which serves as the engine of governance and the administrative machinery for implementing federal policies and programs.
