FIFA WORLD CUP: ROUND OF 16 MATCH BETWEEN MOROCCO AND SPAIN ENTERS EXTRA TIME AFTER 0-0 DRAW

At the Education City stadium in Qatar, the FIFA World Cup match between Morocco and Spain in the Round of 16 became the second knockout game to require extra time.

At the conclusion of regulation time with five minutes remaining, the fiercely contested game concluded in a scoreless draw.

In the sixth minute of added time, Spain came close to scoring when Nico Williams delivered a cross, but Yassine Bounou’s superb reactions kept the ball out.

Both teams will advance to the quarterfinals with a victory, where they will play either Portugal or Switzerland.
