Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Nigeria women’s national under-17 football team, will battle Guinea women’s national under-17 football team in a decisive final qualifying round for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Guinea powered into the clash with a commanding 8-2 aggregate demolition of Niger Republic, signaling their intent ahead of the high-stakes encounter. The Guineans first crushed their neighbours 5-2 in the opening leg before sealing qualification with a ruthless 3-0 victory in Conakry on Saturday.
With the stakes rising, newly appointed Flamingos head coach, Akeem Busari, has wasted no time in igniting preparations, summoning 36 players to camp as Nigeria intensifies its push for a World Cup ticket.
The first leg of the crucial tie will be hosted by Guinea between May 22 and 24, setting the stage for a thrilling return leg in Nigeria on May 30, where the final ticket to the global tournament will be decided.
As both sides gear up for battle, the Flamingos will be aiming to assert dominance on home soil, while Guinea arrives brimming with confidence after their emphatic qualification run.
