The manager of a guest house in Lagos State’s Ikorodu neighborhood found the dead body of a middle-aged woman on Saturday.
When he talked with the News Agency of Nigeria on Monday, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesman for the Lagos State police, verified the discovery.
According to Hundeyin, the guest house manager informed the Ikorodu police about the incident.
He claimed that according to the manager’s report, the woman, who was about 46 years old, came at the guest home on Friday riding a motorcycle driven by her partner who went by the name Alfa Sule.
The manager of the guest home reported that Alfa Sule, of unknown address, was staying there with the person who was eventually identified as Muinat, the police official added.
According to Hundeyin, the manager discovered the dead body of the aforementioned woman when searching the rooms early on Saturday morning, but Alfa Sule was nowhere to be seen.
The victim had no signs of abuse, and the alleged Alfa Sule had left his Bajaj motorcycle in an abandoned location.
When the cops arrived, they discovered the body with foam flowing from her nostril.
Before the body was hauled away and placed in the morgue at the Ikorodu General Hospital for an autopsy, pictures of the scene and the body were taken, he claimed.
In addition, Hundeyin stated that while efforts are being made to apprehend Alfa Sule, who is running away, the guest house manager is supporting the police with their investigation.
He declared that the case would be given to the State Criminal Investigation Department’s Panti, Yaba homicide squad for additional investigation.
