Having beated his wife to death for refusing to give him control of the school she founded, a man was arrested.

On Sunday, November 20, 2022, Segun Omotosho Ebenezer, 45, was detained by Ogun State Police officers for inciting his wife, Omotosho Bukola, 42, to commit a crime.

According to a statement by the head of the Ogun police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect was detained after the deceased’s elder sister filed a complaint at the divisional headquarters of Kemta on November 14, 2022, alleging that her husband had beat and seriously injured the deceased over a minor argument.

The suspect brought the corpse to the Federal Medical Centre in Idi-Aba Abeokuta for treatment, however the patient died while under anesthesia. Unbeknownst to her husband, the dead had made a voicemail message to a family member informing them that her husband had hit her on the head with a padlock while they were kissing and that if she passed away, they should know that he was the one who had killed her.
