Gary Neville brands United, Chelsea,Tottenham And Arsenal’s Form As ‘stupid’ And ‘Ridiculous’

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville believes former club Man United along with Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal’s form look ‘stupid’ and ‘ridiculous’ when compared with rivals Man City and Liverpool.

According to UK Sun report, City and Liverpool are expected to end the campaign with mid-90 point mark to leave a huge gap between themselves and their equally ambitious rivals.

Before United’s clash with Chelsea, only one of the top-four chasers managed to win in their previous two matches, with Tottenham needing a late goal at home to beat Brighton.

“The top two are making them look a little stupid, they’re 20 points in front of them,” he said on Sky Sports – even before Arsenal were thumped 3-0 by Leicester on Sunday.

“What the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth teams are doing is, they’ve probably got a decent points tally in any other season.

“But the top two are so consistent they’re making the others look ridiculous,” Neville noted, who found time to applaud

Pep Guardiola for what he is doing at City and expected them to defend their Premier League title.

“I just can’t believe we’re not going to see a mistake.

“They’d have to win 14 games on the bounce. I can’t believe it, it’s absolutely ridiculous.

“While Guardiola is at City, I don’t see the quality dropping.

“The rest are going to have to jump up, which is a good thing for the Premier League.”

Earlier, PREMIER NEWS reported that Manchester United vs Chelsea settled for a 1-1 draw in a Premier League top four battle played at Old Trafford.

After just 11 minutes, United got their noses in front as Luke Shaw made a clever run into the box to find Juan Mata who slammed home to make it 1-0. Chelsea tried to fight their way back into the match but they could not get clinical in the final third.

Eric Bailly came close to doubling United’s lead in the 30th minute but his header went just wide from an Ashley Young’s corner.

The Blues got themselves leveled in the match in the 43rd minute after David de Gea spilled an Antonio Rudiger’s 25-yard shot as Marcos Alonso cleverly reacted to the rebound to make it 1-1.
