Goje Mourns Ex-Chief Of Staff, Says Vacuum Difficult To Replace

A former Governor of Gombe State, Danjuma Goje has shown sadness over the death of his ex-Chief of Staff, Alhaji Babayo Gidado.

Goje in a statement by his media aide, Lilian Nworie, described the late Gidado as a patriotic Nigerian who spent his life contributing his quota towards the development of Gombe state in particular and Nigeria in general.

The lawmaker representing Gombe Central has also sympathised with the deceased family, the Government and the people of Gombe state over the irreparable loss.

He said that the vacuum created by Gidado’s death would be hard to fill.

“His demise is a great loss. He was a patriotic son of the state and his death has created a huge vacuum that cannot easily be filled.

“I sympathise with his immediate family and the entire people of the state. May Allah comfort his family at this moment of grief.”

The former governor further noted that the late Gidado lived a humble and very religious life. He prayed to Allah to accept all his righteous deeds, forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.

The late Gidado was Goje’s Chief of Staff during his second term as Governor of Gombe State from 2007 to 2011. He died on Sunday night at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe after a brief illness.
