Sen. Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, the governor of Bauchi State, received support for his reelection campaign on Thursday night after his immediate predecessor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar SAN, praised his record in guaranteeing progress in vital state economic areas for speedy development.
The former governor gave the compliment during a state dinner given at the new Banquet Hall of the Government House in Bauchi in his honor following his recent promotion to the position of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar pledged his complete support for the PDP-led administration in the state for additional development projects to be carried out, claiming that Governor Bala Mohammed has been successful in working to open the state for investment opportunities.
He said: “Let me begin by thanking Allahu subhanahu wataala for enabling us to gather in this very magnificent hall, in this very beautiful Government House, to celebrate my acquisition of the position of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria.”
He continued, “But for the generosity of my younger brother and my successor, Governor Bala Mohammed, the occasion would not have been feasible. In the Nigerian political system, Bauchi State is constantly making history.
The former governor made a point of saying, “We must play politics without animosity since our purpose is the same, the aim is to grow the state and deliver assistance to the citizens of the state.”
Since the goal is to build the state, I am fully in support of the developmental strides he was able to achieve. “I must praise my younger brother for the enormous advances he has achieved in many sectors of the state’s economy. May Almighty Allah continue to support him in running the government’s business and politics,” he stated.
Sen. Bala Mohammed, on his part, congratulated the outgoing SAN once more and urged him to use the chance to bring all interested parties together in the state’s best interests.
According to the governor, “I want to say for the sake of history, that we are holding an individual dinner to anybody for the first time during my tenure, and that is very instructive because my elder brother, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, has shown what leadership should be and to me, he has gone beyond my expectations and expectations of so many politicians.
Bala Mohammed continued, “Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar is one Governor that I so much respect. I would not be foolish to overlook his fans. He intends good to everyone. I want it on record that despite numerous requests, I declined to pursue him because I was aware of the sacrifices he had made in order to lead the state.

I want to appeal to you having rose to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria to use your elevation to assist in uniting all of us to work collectively for the economic development of our dear State.
