…Portal upgrade complete after temporary suspension
…Applicants urged to resume and complete pending submissions
The Federal Government has reopened the recruitment portal for four major paramilitary agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) following a temporary suspension caused by technical issues.
In a statement issued on Monday, July 21, 2025, the CDCFIB confirmed that the portal is now fully accessible to applicants. It explained that the earlier suspension was necessary to upgrade the system to handle the overwhelming number of applications, ensuring transparency, equity, and a smoother recruitment process.
“We sincerely apologize for the interruption in the application submission process. Due to the high volume of applications, it was necessary to enhance the system,” the statement read.
The Board urged all applicants who had started the registration before the suspension to revisit the portal and complete their applications without delay.
Responding to widespread complaints about the omission of some local government areas in the portal’s selection menu, the Board acknowledged the glitch and assured applicants that corrections are underway. A system update is expected soon to reflect accurate information across all states.
Reaffirming its commitment to a fair and merit-driven process, the CDCFIB thanked Nigerians for their enthusiasm in joining the nation’s security and emergency services.
The recruitment covers opportunities in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
