Despite drawing its last three games, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola stated he still believes his team will win the Premier League for a record-breaking fourth consecutive year.

The leader Arsenal, who can go five points clear at the top with a victory at lowly Luton Town later on Tuesday, is three points ahead of the champion, who is third, one point behind Liverpool.

“We will win the Premier League,” Guardiola declared to media prior to City’s Wednesday encounter against Unai Emery’s fourth-place Aston Villa team.

“We’ll try again if we perform at the caliber of Tottenham or Liverpool. After three drawings, people still don’t believe it, but we’re going to try again. We are aware that winning four Premier League titles in a row is difficult; no team has accomplished it to date.

After a thrilling 4-4 victory away to Chelsea and a 1-1 draw with Liverpool, City was held 3-3 at home by Spurs on Sunday.

Although the numbers looked good in comparison to the previous season, when City won the FA Cup, the Premier League, and the Champions League, Guardiola expressed his concern about the goals given up.

“I am stating that, with the exception of the Chelsea game, the average of giving up chances is lower.” “The remaining games are at the same caliber as the ones from our previous championship-winning seasons,” he continued.

While Jeremy Doku was awaiting a fitness test, Guardiola stated that England defender John Stones of City was cleared to return from injury, perhaps filling in as a holding midfielder for the suspended Rodri.

Jack Grealish is also sidelined for City’s trip to Villa, who have won their past 13 league home games.

Guardiola expressed his appreciation for Emery, a fellow Spaniard.

“Every time he leaves, the teams perform better across the board—the players, the results, the control over deep, set pieces, and transitions—it’s just amazing,” he said.

“The way they’ve been playing this season, especially at home where they’ve won everything, but even away, it will be a difficult game.” Both before and after, we have known this.
