Ibom Air, the state-owned airline of Akwa Ibom, announced an expansion of its flight schedules serving Enugu and Calabar routes effective July 25, 2025. According to a press release endorsed by Aniekan Essienette, Group Manager of Marketing & Communications, this move reflects the airline’s strategic priority to improve travel options and strengthen connectivity for its passengers.

From the stated date, flights from Lagos and Abuja to Calabar will operate daily, while flights to Enugu will run six days a week—from Tuesday to Sunday—complying with the existing sit-at-home directive observed in Enugu every Monday. This change significantly enhances the previously limited flight schedule, offering travelers greater flexibility and ease in planning their trips.

Ibom Air stressed that this expansion is designed to maintain dependable schedules, punctual departures, and the high standard of service it consistently delivers. The airline remains focused on placing passengers at the center of its operations and facilitating smooth connections across its expanding route network.
