A notorious land squatter known as Ibro, who has a base in Lagos, has devised plans to bring the Nigeria Police Force into disrepute in order to take over approximately 8223 square meters of land belonging to First Bank at Chevron Estate in the Eti Osa area of Lagos State.

The land grabber, whose sole intention is to defame the police and the person of Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, is currently spearheading a media campaign of calumny against the police, led by CSP Shola Jejeloye.

When the police stopped his unauthorized sale of the disputed land, for which he had collected hundreds of millions of naira from unsuspecting members of the public, Ibro reportedly went overboard.

The first generation bank reportedly purchased the said land from the original owner, the Ojomu Family of Eti Osa, about sixteen years ago with the intention of using it in the near future.

According to a police source who was involved in the investigation into Ibro’s fraudulent sale of land to journalists, “The bank purchased the land from the original owner’s family.

The bank obtained the necessary documents from the Lagos State Government to formalize their ownership of the land.”

“The bank had no immediate need to build anything on the property. They left it to appreciate, only for a land speculator to jump in and begin selling it to unsuspecting members of the public.”

According to a police source, “Only the bank has provided valid documents to support their claim to ownership of the disputed land.

Ibro has been running from one location to another in an attempt to conceal the shady deals.”

“He has now resorted to media blackmail and a smear campaign against the police.

He is now sponsoring media blackmail against Lagos CP and Task Force Chairman, CSP Jejeloye.”

The officer insisted that “We are not deterred in the least by Ibro’s antics. We will not allow a criminal element like him to pervert justice by abusing the media. The media should be extremely cautious of him.”

Ibro and his gang are currently on the police’s wanted list.
