The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, has arrived in Owerri, Imo State, ahead of the 2026 Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers (CARSPO 2026).

Upon arrival at the conference venue, the IGP inspected the hall and other facilities prepared for the high-level gathering of senior officers of the Nigeria Police Force.

IGP Disu carefully reviewed the arrangements and overall setup at the venue ahead of the conference and expressed satisfaction with the preparations.

The inspection forms part of preparations for CARSPO 2026, which will bring together senior police officers for strategic engagements on policing, leadership and security matters.

The conference and retreat is expected to provide an opportunity for senior officers to deliberate on contemporary security challenges, operational strategies and ways of strengthening the Nigeria Police Force’s response to emerging threats.

The event is taking place in Owerri, Imo State, with senior officers expected to participate in various sessions during the conference.
