The Igwuruta Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs has elected a new executive team to lead the body.
The election produced Chief Franklin Nyema JP as chairman, while Chief Sir Thank God Ameahule became vice-chairman.
Chief Ephraim Wajoku was elected secretary, with Chief Solomon Wali serving as assistant secretary. Chief Augustine Wachukwu emerged as public relations officer.
The council also elected Chief Paul Enyinda as treasurer and Chief Sylvanus Nyeche as financial secretary.
Chief Prince Will Waliezi emerged as provost, while Chief John Ebom Worlu was elected auditor.
The Igwuruta Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs said the new leadership will oversee the affairs of the traditional institution.
The election brings together experienced community leaders as the council begins a new administrative phase.
The Igwuruta Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs is expected to focus on unity, representation and community development.
