Tinubu’s Transformation has triggered a fresh clash between the presidency and Catholic leaders after presidential media adviser Sunday Dare rejected claims that President Bola Tinubu’s reforms amount to failure.

Dare said the Catholic bishops could not reduce Tinubu’s Transformation agenda to a negative narrative. He argued that Tinubu inherited a struggling economy and moved to rebuild the country from its foundations.

The comments followed concerns raised by Catholic bishops during their July 28 meeting with Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Archbishop Emeritus John Onaiyekan later said the president disagreed with the bishops’ assessment of Nigeria’s economy, insecurity and political climate.

However, Dare defended the administration, describing Tinubu’s reforms as a major attempt to transform the country.

The debate over Tinubu’s Transformation is likely to continue as Nigerians assess the impact of the government’s policies.
